Are You Hurting?

Are you hurting from anything in your past?  Are you hurting from words someone said to you, a relationship that didn’t work out or perhaps you did something you know you shouldn’t have done?

The way to healing is to draw closer to God.  It takes action.  Begin by ASKING God for your healing.  Then look to see where else you can get healing.  Is it a counselor, a therapist, your church or a Godly person God has put in your life?

I know it is the woman sitting in a church service who is likely to seek out post-abortion healing than someone who is not in church.  It’s as if they are in a place to accept healing.  In that place, they can ask for healing.  That is why there should be HEALING OPPORTUNITIES IN CHURCH INSTEAD OF CONDEMNATION.

If you are hurting, look up to God.  Begin to draw closer to Him.  When you take that first step to Him, He will take a step closer to you.  Get a bible and read it.  Find a church that will love you through your healing.

God wants to heal you.  Now ask Him to heal you.

Are You Off-Track?

“Trust in Me and I will make all your paths straight.”

Wow, how many times do we wander off the path doing our own thing until we realize we need to do things the right way?  How many years do we waste doing it the “wrong” way?  Where would we be if we didn’t mess up?

I can see periods in my life where my purpose was developing and being used and then *BAM!*, it was off-track.

I am grateful now, I can say His name and remember God’s got it – whatever IT is.  I don’t have to actively do anything but pray and trust . . . and be thankful NO MATTER what is happening around me.

God has a plan for all of us.  Who better to trust than Him?  Who knows the best for us?  God does.  Are you off-track?  Take a step of faith and trust in Him.  He WILL keep you on the right path.

In His Arms

I have a favorite print of Jesus holding a girl.  She is clinging to His arm and He, in turn, is holding her with one arm and caressing her head with the other. At the bottom of the print, the words “I Will Not Fail Thee” are inscribed.

That girl is me.  I anticipate with joy the moment that very picture happens to me!

What would it be like to be held by the arms of the Great I Am?  Those arms and hands created the vast universe and the microscopic atom.  I know the Word says He spoke things into existence but I think He also used His arms and hands to show how big or small or where to start and end.  Those very arms and hands healed the sick, hung on the cross . . . bore the nails . . .

I love imaging what it would be like to be held by Love, Grace and Peace.  Overwhelming, perfect wowness.
