I Will Sing of Your Love Forever

I recently viewed a social media video of Justin Bieber singing the Christian song, “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever”.

The audience had no idea what he was about to sing but in the end, he had them singing with him.  I’m not sure if they knew he was singing about God, but it was a fantastic few minutes of beautiful harmony between Bieber and thousands of his fans, glorifying God.

I began to thank God for the transformation in his life . . . then I thought about how BRAVE he was to publicly sing about his faith.  He is a super star, under the lime light every moment of the day.  And in today’s world, it is not cool to be a Christian.  It made me appreciate him even.  It made me pray for him.

Take a moment to pray for Justin Bieber and that his words, and the love of God, will penetrate millions of hearts through him.

Let God Fight For You

We actually have a knight in shining armor in God.

He says He will fight for us:

  • Exodus 14:14: The Lord will fight for you and you won’t need to lift a finger!
  • Deuteronomy 20:4: For the Lord your God is going with you!  He will fight for you against your enemies, and He will give you the victory!
  • Romans 8:31: What can we ever say to such wonderful things as these?  If God is on our side, who can ever be against us?
  • Joshua 23:10: . . . for the Lord your God fights for you, just as He has promised.

Remember God is our Father.  A good Father WILL fight for his daughter.

So if this is the case, I can truly be at rest and at peace just by letting my Father God fight for me, protect me from the arrows the enemy is attempting to shoot at me.

I am free to experience life and move forward (not stuck) as Jesus orchestrates everything, directing the spiritual realms . . . Wow!  How powerful is that?!

Judged for Freedom – Huh?

“Don’t judge me!”; “No judgement here!”; “I’m not judging!”

You hear a lot of those statements lately.

I used to think God was like my dad waiting for me to make a mistake so He could zap me from Heaven as “judgement” punishment.

My dad would be judge, jury and punisher – sometimes all within a matter of minutes and then I would be confined to my room to “go to sleep!!” even if it was in the middle of the day.

But the more I got to know God, the more I realized there is NONE like God.  You can’t compare God to anything or anyone because He does things His own magnificent way instead of what man would do.

God does not judge to punish me (as my earthly father did) but instead to set me free!  I know it sounds backwards but God often does things the opposite of what we might think.

When I have unconfessed sinned, I have bound MYSELF as one of the consequences.

The minute I ask for forgiveness, I have an indescribable freedom that only comes from God!  He is the open door to freedom.

Even better, God never remembers your wrongs so He will never bring them up again!

So next time you think God is going to get you for something you did, remember that He only wants you to be free to live and to live abundantly (John 10:10).

Admit your sin, ask for forgiveness and LIVE.
